Hi people, wonder if anyone can help? I have a job to fit new servos motors and new cnc controls to machine tool. Ime fine with all the electrical stuff...thats my job, but within the price of my job is to program cnc to preform the task in question. Anyone a whizz with G code?
ok with m codes....bit rusty with g codes...
do you not have a post processor?
I've never seen G code VB as in GVB. All G codes are numbers in my experience.
The letters V and B can appear as separate codes entirely, but not attached to the G.
See linky for list of codes.

code list
I was some what confused.
So a quick google to look up what 'OT' ment first.
Answer back was On Topic.
Then found 'VB' listed as Very boring.
If thats correct then the question is for Just G-Codes.
If so then I have used G-codes for DIY cnc use, using
TurboCNC
Only problem is my experiance is not much beyond novice.
Like your self, more on the electrics side.
I fitted Stepper motors to a mill in days, but months figuring out how best to program it.
But a'm willing to help if I can.
I guess CNC programming is like programming computers.
Basic stuff like printing "hello world", easy
Drawing real time texture 3D graphics not so easy
So if you want to do THIS (Linky) then Don't ask me
