Right, thought I would give the assembled masses a go before trying to find someone out of the yellow pages.

I need a shower pump fitted to an existing shower in a gravity feed system. The shower unit is about 18 months old and was fitted with the rest of the en-suite bathroom. Didn't realise that a pump would be needed until everything was fitted and the flooring was in. So the job is to supply and fit + the electrics. I'm based in Kent...any plumbers / tradesmen fancy the work ?

I recently fitted a pump to our shower to replace an old one...

Modern pumps ideally need to be located as close to the water cylinder as possible and should idealy have their own hot AND cold feed... so a surrey type flange would be needed in the neck of the tank...

Once thats done you obviously need to run the dedicated pumped feeds from the pump up to the shower....

Then the simple job of wiring the pump in...


I tried at first to put the pump in the shower room to save money and time.. it didnt work...

So if they want to put in miles of new pipework... you will know why

i've got one spare if you are any where near the east mids.

we fitted it for 5 months while we waited for our new boiler, but its just sat in a cupboard at the minute. where are you based?

You may be better converting to a pressurised system to avoid the pump noise and you can remove the tank from in the loft. Worth a thought.
