My nephew's coming up for his 21st birthday and we were thinking of getting him a gift token for one of those 'experience days' -
either driving round a race track or flying in a plane - where he would ring up and arrange his day out at a nearby venue.
There are loads of people doing this sort of thing these days - can anyone recommend a good provider?
I've had a few of these in the distant past.

Wife got me a voucher for a Driving day.
Went for a Caterham slalom event,
Going direct would have been £50 cheaper.
Can't really reccomend somewhere but just be carefull what you are buying. About 10 years ago i was given a rally experience for my birthday which looked fantastic. I rang up to book it and was told i would be driving cossie's, evo's and scooby's all rally prepared through forrest stages. When i got there it turned out to be a few old mk 3 astra 1.4's with just a stripped out interior and a roll cage driving on an old bit of waste grond around some cones with bald tyres. I didn't pay for it so i didn't complain but i felt very badly let down.
I had a red letter day and chose the mini cooperS experience at Rockingham.
Great fun (5 laps though), but i reckon better value for money would be to take him on a track day.
Looking forward to mine which my wife got me for my 40th, in an Aston Martin db9 or v8 Vantage.

Which are the nearest tracks to Gloucester? Also near to Birmingham (where he's at Uni)?
I did a one-to-one day with an instructor in a RX8 at Thruxton a few years ago, throughly enjoyed every minute of it!
As said earlier they are often cheaper to book directly rather than through an agent.
What about the Land Rover experience.
They do a 3 hour Off road driving session for £150 at Solihull.

As said, try and go direct, I had a days gliding once and later a flight in a Tiger moth. Both really good
I had a footplate day on the Bluebell railway here in Sussex as a retirement present. One of the best days I have ever had. I was lucky they had West
Country class Bulleid pacific locomotive Nş34007 WADEBRIDGE visiting and that was the loco used for the day.
