That is cool

Quite a strange one as it doesn't happen immediately. On average a 10 second delay for me before she spins counter-clockwise.

ReMan - 21/2/10 at 02:18 PM

works better for me if i switch from looking at the left one to looking at the right one or vice versa

I find its easier to get her rotating in different directions by watching her feet, and then visualizing the other direction.

Ive had a female colleague telling me that its B.S. because its an animated gif and can only rotate the one way.

I was tempted to say,"its the brain that analyzes what we see, so if you see nothing it could be an indication of serious problems...."

but an animated gif isn't actualy rottating - its just a sequence of pics/frames - so what you see isn't rotating at all

its just a fancy version of this one:

My father in law has made a career out of how the brain eye inface works with such things.
Hes written books on this subject.

Optical illusions and UFOs are closely linked.
Quite often reported sightings of so called flying green men are as a result of a visual perception in ones brain,,,,

Stereograms are also cool optical illusions.

Stare at the middle of the picture and try to look 'behind' the picture. Suddenly your eyes/brain will make a click and you will see a 3D picture.

This one certainly works on a computer screen (I tried it)....googlesearch for "stereogram" for more fun !
