Is it just mine, or does anyone elses missus call them "Nerds" for frequenting the forum and playing with cars?

She just said that this site was set up by men, and that all of you lot are half naked women!?? - I like the idea, but im not convinced, unless of course that actually IS a picture of FlakMonkey!!!

I have a non related question though.......How do import a photo from my hard drive for an Avatar. It wants a URL for some reason...... Unusual, as normally you just click browse and then add the photo with most sites..........

stick it in your photo archive, then use the url from there

It's the same relavance of those calendars in garages, with the scantily clad women draped over some tyre. I don't know what kind of thought brought that about...

"Hi, I'd like some new tyres.. Have you got the ones she's sat on?"

Yes..it is Steve McQueen .... a 'still' from the film 'Le Mans' ....

Going to the first bit of your post ninehigh.....I have always thought (and only a personal opinion mind.... ) ... that the girly calendars you mention, are not just a wee bit demeaning to the girls...but more to you guys......as in, you will only buy a product, be it tyres or cars and such, just because some dolly bird is draped over it....as though you haven't got the brains or foresight to do your own research, or indeed that their product isn't good enough to sell itself ..... without a girl draped over it....... ah well

All above IMHO of course...

My misses calls our South Brum Meet 'the Geek Meet' and kindly refers to my car as the expensive, pointy (imagine legs grazed against exposed wheel studs) pile of crap! She isn't too smitten on wearing a helmet to protect her from stones/bees - apparently it gives her hat hair.... !
