Does anyone on here use vonage for their phone line? I'm thinking of using it for my business line and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts
good or bad.
Thanks.
Steve.
No experience of Vonage, but we use the BT version. Cheap enough. The only downside is that the number starts 0560 which people with mobiles or
caller ID often fear is a call centre in Bombay or a Nigerian Princess hoping to give the caller some of her late father's riches.
No issues otherwise.
I use voipfone - can't fault it really, great choice of memorable local numbers to choose from (for a couple of quid a month) and the call
quality is excellent - makes Skype sound like the two tin cans and a bit of string operation that they are

Depends on your broadbean connection contention ratio, jitter etc etc.
VOIP can be good or bad and when its bad its shocking. I fit phone systems for a living and will only install a VOIP switch after testing the
connection pre install.

I use Vonage for my business line.
Excellent service, cheap and no problems at all. Highly recommended.
I'm in West Sussex, have a virtual central number London number (that's where my customers are) and also have a US number as my main client
is based there.
You get voicemail, simultaneous rings, diverts to mobiles etc. It even emails voice messages to you if you are out.
Go for it - I've no regrets.
Best thing to do is test your Broadbean for compatability, Google VOIP test tools or u2u me and I'll get some trade test apps to you. Better than
sounding with your head in a bucket.
Cheers,
Bobl
