Dangle_kt - 10/4/10 at 01:09 PM

Conspirisy theories start here

blakep82 - 10/4/10 at 01:11 PM

find a russian number station, decode the meassges and there will be your answer

speedyxjs - 10/4/10 at 01:19 PM

Tragic news.

Even if the Russians didn't do it the polish people will think they did. They have lived bravely in the shadow of the Russian threat for so long its ingrained.

Dangle_kt - 10/4/10 at 02:53 PM

The polish government officials were visiting a forest in Russia where the KGB killed 22000 polish POWs when I happened.

theconrodkid - 10/4/10 at 04:55 PM

Not surprised. Have you seen what the russians did to the Polish during the war?

They were either doomed by the Germans or raped and pillaged by the russians.

morcus - 10/4/10 at 05:42 PM

I'm voting tragic accident, but it does look suspicious as it happened when so much of their government was on the plane and in Russia to visit a massacre site, its most likly this is just a coincidence but this will probably end up as a long running conspiracy theory, up there with JFK and the moon landings.

that person whould buy a lottery ticket!

most likely a tragic accident.

I find it quite amusing how people will happily buy the OFFICIAL government or state line put out by the either controlled media or the rich elite media magnets like Murdoch and you say .. ahha that cant be a theory... thats the truth. When free thinkiing individuals come up with in many cases VERY strong evidence and many times can be proven then you automatically say its a crank and called it a conspiracy THEORY.

So do you think that governments and intelligence services never do anything underhand or manufacture situations for gain or to cover up misdoings. David Kelly ring any Bells,

How about "They have weapons of mass destruction"

Please don;t be so naive to think that the official story is always the truth. its likely to be less often that it is.

Er... ok then! If you say so!

morcus - 11/4/10 at 06:51 AM

I never said it was impossible, just that I think it was most likely a tragic accident. The only info I've seen said it crashed in fog.

Well you couldn't really say £ and now the news... Putin says we did and they all deserved it cos they were Poles and we had some other agenda" Noooooo!1

Ermmm It crashed in fog.. OK???

I notice that true to form the most likely culprits have said they will get to the bottom of it. Putin is taking personal control over the investigation hahaha.

A bit like Al Capone having an enquiry to see if illegal booze was being sold by organised gangs!

I wonder how many people know that the USA had plans to fly a remote controlled airliner over cuba and detonate it and to set bombs off in Miami killing US citizens so it could be blamed on Castro and justify starting a war direct by the US military??

Nooooo I hear you say.. we are civilised in the west, we wouldn't kill our own people to start a war!! Strangely enough it was Kennedy who put a stop to it when he found out what the chiefs of staff were up to.

Before you are tempted to blow this out of the water as a crank conspiracy theory the actual document plan is available for all to see.

Don't worry about me... I know perfectly well how dirty the world is!

I just don't feel the need to cry "conspiracy" every time something bad happens!!!

hillbillyracer - 11/4/10 at 06:02 PM

I say accident too, what do the Russians have to gain from doing this now? It's likely been hard enough for them to admit to their past wrongs, why would they make it so much worse?
Of course there's going to be conspiracy theories when so many of one countries top men get killed in a single plane crash but just because there's the possibility it might be a conspiracy doesnt mean the reported story is'nt the truth!

As far as JFK goes I dont buy much of the conspiracys for that, the one story that stacks up best is the lone nutter & no-one else.

David Jenkins - 11/4/10 at 07:36 PM

It sounds like the last time the plane's captain diverted to another airport because of bad weather he got a roasting from the president. So maybe this time he didn't want to be rebuked again...

Air traffic control repeatedly told the pilot to divert, apparently.

morcus - 11/4/10 at 09:58 PM

I'm fully aware that the Russians would keep it secret if they did do it, and I don't believe everything I see on the news but normally the simplist explanation is the one that makes most sense.

It is intresting that Putin is putting himself in charge of the investigation, but to be fair a head of State has died and I would expect Brown would do something simillar if a head of state died in an accident in the UK.

For the Record, Men have been to the moon, Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK and Paul McCartney is still alive.

eddbaz - 12/4/10 at 08:42 AM

Very tragic, my family are devastated we lost a close family friend on that flight.

Funnily enough I was thinking about this the other day.

I wonder if Paul Mc does not wish that he got shot instead of John Lennon becasue he will never be given such a big memorial as Lohn Lennon airport surely?

MY O/H is also Polish, and she knew of this, but slightly different. The president gave him a bollocking and demended that it be landed in adverse conditions, also that a lot of people in Poland may well be flying flags of condolance etc, but he is reputed to have been a bit of an idiot president...

That's what I said... didn't I? It's what I meant to say anyway!

Steve Hignett - 12/4/10 at 02:10 PM

Was trying to add to you, rather than correct you, sorry.

The pilot got the roasting in the air until he landed against his will rather than later, so it may have been the same case this time with it being foggy - I also wanted to add the bit that he's known as a bit of an idiot, adding more weight to the demanding of landing...

Huh?

She = Steve's other half
Him = polish pilot

Or iz my readin comprahenshun skilz lacking a bit?

Badger_McLetcher - 13/4/10 at 12:47 AM

I think it's most likely an accident. Airframe was a little dated, though heavilly upgraded, adverse landing conditions etc. Wouldn't like to say for sure but if it didn't have ILS or similar landing in those conditions would be nearly suicidal, and not without danger if it did.
The coincidence is very striking, but I can't see what the Russians would gain from orchestrating this. Not saying they wouldn't do it, just don't see their angle.
