Volcanic dust????
snapper - 16/4/10 at 10:28 AM

There is a faint but wide spread smell of burning all over the 800 acre site i work on, very large clouds that cover a large area of Essex near Stanstead, i am sneezing, my eyes feel gritty and to top it all off there is fine light grey dust all over my black car.
The Volcanic dust cloud is here, ooh err

Can't wait for the papers/news channels to start reporting on this. If just one spec falls in London it will be an international incident just like when a couple of snow flakes fall.

People will be told to stay in doors and avoid non emergency journeys and civil servants will get a bonus payment for struggling into work in the harsh and dangerous conditions.

Can't wait for the drama

BenB - 16/4/10 at 02:03 PM

There's no a sausage of dust here in London village. Nice and sunny
Might be a good sunset if there's dust high up in the atmosphere....

Confused but excited. - 16/4/10 at 02:30 PM

I've been sneezing all day, bloody foreigners.

Simon - 16/4/10 at 03:54 PM

Airports closing has nothing to do with icelandic eruptions and everything to do with aliens and secret aircraft that can't be allowed to be seen.

No we're not

Although I admit one of my heads is aching

ReMan - 16/4/10 at 06:36 PM

I drove from Leicester, to Birmingham to Gatwick (Reigate) today, and back.

The lack of aircraft and vapour trails on the blue/white cliudy skys is really weird
We're definatly doomed

blakep82 - 16/4/10 at 06:43 PM

wonder if the airports are charging the airlines a fortune for the time planes are on the ground? would be 'conveniant' if they did
