Choosing fabric.... (fozzy... can you help?)
tegwin - 23/4/10 at 10:40 AM

Slightly OT... but I need to make some covers for the bed/seat foam blocks in the back and curtains for my sisters T4 camper conversion... We want some interesting fabric, but it needs to be hard wearing and reasonably stain resistant etc....

Can anyone recomend a good supplier of fabric, and also suggest a suitable grade of material to use? All I can find is "seating cloth" from woolies... all very dull colours!

try dunelm mills or get over to your local haberdashery on the market.

Have a look in yellow pages for upholsterers or their suppliers - they usually stock furniture-grade fabrics.

Haha... Denim and Leather patchwork :p

We have a dunelm mill down the road from work... I had always wondered what they actually sold...lol.. now I know!

Will see if I can find an upholsterer to talk to as well

It wasnt meant to be a sexist comment... merely, fozzy has responded in the past on such toppics and always has something useful to say!.... Appologies in advance if it offends
