just under 12 months from taking the CBT ...the waiting and shelling out game has come to an end

I didn't even tell Mrs Cog I was doing it...just got togged up and told her I was off for a spin on the bike :-)

Just pulled the L plates off the CG125 ...it feels naughty riding without them

Restriced to sub 33 hp bikes for the next 2 years, but that suits me just fine as the CJ360t only had 34 at the crank when new in 1976 so should be well safely below that by now

Just hoping that my licence comes back OK as I didn't photocopy it before taking the test today and hadn't realised they take it off you there and then to be updated

Managed to do it without any instructors, but had a failed Mod 1 due to locking the rear wheel so all in all it hasn't worked out too expensive as Mod 1 was only £15 IIRC

Was a bit worried about today's Mod 2 as it was the most expensive of the tests and couldn't really afford to chuck 70 odd notes away so just rode to the best of my ability with fingers crossed that I wasn't doing anything that would fail me

I did consider having a pre test lesson with the local school to make sure I was ready for it, but finances were a bit tight and I only booked the test as a last minute decision (on Monday night) so didn't really have time for the panic to set in till I was at the centre (my module 1's nearly killed me with the anxiety due to long waiting lists)

Hopefully we'll get a Summer this year :-)

Yep, well done, here's hoping for some nice biking weather this year.

Not sure you will be legal with the CJ though, its manufacturers BHP thats used.

In South Africa the day you get a learners licence (a multiple choice test) with no requirement to be able to ride you can legally start riding your ZZR 1400 until the day of your riders test some time down the line. No training or guidance needed. Go figure!!!

Yet if you pass your riders test on a bike smaller than 175 cc you are limited to riding a 125 or smaller bike. However if you pass on a bigger bike then any size is OK
