control was filmed in and around where i used to live
I was on the train going through the area listening to digital on sunday, definitely one of my favourite bands.
I like the band and their music, but i may upset people by saying this, i have absolutely no respect for anyone who commits suicide.
I've had a family memeber and also a close friend kill themselves, and in both cases it's destroyed everybody close to them. It's a
selfish and cowardly way to get out of your problems, by dumping them on everyone who loves you, on top of trying to deal with your death aswell.
I don't think they're too worried about your respect if they've commited suicide bud!
I suppose finding my cousin has coloured my opinion on this subjet...
Committing suicide is never a rational considered act, and in many cases the final 'symptom' of a mental illness (diagnosed or not), so you
need to be careful about using words like selfish and cowardly IMO.
Not that reduces the effect on those left behind, especially those that are the first on the scene, all of who have my sympathies.
New Order were being interviewed on TV and they were asked: "who is the quietest one?"
"Ian Curtis!" said Mr Hook.
