Wow! Politics!
Does anyone else use this forum as an escape from the dail cr@p around us?
Just bugs me when people drag politics onto a Car Building Forum...if you feel that strongly, go join young conservatives/labour party and do
something about it....but let me read about cars in peace...
Just me 2p....and NOT aimed at anyone in particular....
Thats surely what the 'non car' caht forum is for though.
This would be an empty section if we only talked about cars.
But this is in the non-car chat section.. Quite a few members on here will be in the public sector so might be slightly worried about it..
Dam
locostbuilders is good because it is not just about building the car mentioned in a popular book. There's all kinds of stuff on here, from music to domestic plumbing to holiday ideas. If you are allergic to politics, close the thread and open another. There's plenty on here to keep you happy.

But surely it is better to dicuss 'light' political issues with like minded people, whatever your views.
Political parties are full of non like minded people following the same views....
Quit ya whinging then...

this is my virual reality to escape the stresses and strains of modern living.
:O)
i work as an It consultant so this is nice to relax.
I dont like politics at all - they are all as bad as each other. I dont support one party more than another. I vote for who I think offers the best
and thats that.
Regardless of how it sometimes comes across
I'd VOTE to keep POLITICS off here... if that wasn't a contradiction.
I'd vote to keep religion off here as well.
The thing that bonds us is our interest in fiddling with kit-cars, or building them ourselves. But LCB (like all successful Forums) has grown beyond
it's core raison d'être and developed into a fairly vibrant community and as always, it's good to talk within that
community...
Anyway - I've just eaten a yoghurt with an Expiry Date of 18 June. Am I doomed!?

It's quite easy really....if you do not know, or are unsure what the thread is about by its title, the first few lines by the OP is usually a
good indicator......and if you don't like it, or have no interest in the topic, don't read it!
Click on the next topic!
Simples......

Oh Scootz.....ya most deffo doomed.....

Yes but if I post its generally because I need information or I have information to give away (normally the former). So when someone posts about politics it pushes my post off the bottom never to be replied to again. I find myself posting at certain times of the day so most poepl read it and I get good replies

Before I even learnt to read I developed the (often useful) skill of NOT reading stuff.
I suspect it would go a long way to solving your issue.
Good Luck!
Well, I find this forum is by far and away the best place to be. Love the diverse range of motoring related builds and crazy machines coupled to the
fact there are many peeps here who do many different day jobs and can give good advise in all sorts of areas. There's also a fair amount of
craziness, especially from the south west contingent...
A little while ago I asked about Landrover radius arm mounting dims on two LR forums and got nothing helpful back whatsoever.
Came on here to ask and got the answer very quickly.
Also asked about gas fire outing yesterday and thanks to the peeps here there's now a big hole in the living room wall.
Its a great place, nice and active compared to lots of other places.
Just try asking a technical question on PassionFord!
Long live LCB!

Steve

This is the bestest forum by far to find out anything about anything, and quickly too.
