Air rifle gubbings

I purchased a not so expensive SMK
( i know, i know ..Chinese rubbish) Air rifle about 8 months ago.
After recently using it there is a sound like a broken kaleidoscope when tilting it up on the stock or pointing the barrel to the floor.
Something has come loose inside, but it still shoots.

In the manual it states not to strip these guns down as there are highly pressured springs etc.. But I though that was only when cocked?

Any ideas on dismantling before I lose my eyes or something???

Generally the spring is under some compression maybe 10 - 15% compressed, so be carefull when / if you open up the spring / piston chamber.

THe best way to get into an SMK rifle is out in the garage with a cutting disc. Then throw the bits in a bin, put it down to experience, save some pennies (again) and buy a rifle made by a more reputable brand. SMKs really are terrible things
