I am toying with the idea of fitting solar water heating to a property....
I have found a couple of places that sell complete "kits"... but they are expensive..
Anyone know a supplier with a decent website/datasheets that just sells the evacuated solar collector tubes? I can sort the plumbing/control out
myself!
build them

get them from here

we have one of their systems
we have a sample tube and if u leave in natural light for 30 mins the thermometer shows 150 degrees C and you can walk around with it in your hand
Impressive

Hi,
I think that the units from Eco nomical at www.eco-nomical.co.uk look OK and the prices seem reasonable.
Wow - how does that work then?

Navitron.
Veissman were some of the first people to make them. They mainly deal with commercial stuff though. Still worth a look if nothing else helps!
