Now that's sinister hacking
Instant geo-location!
Think I might change my MAC address!

smart51 - 3/8/10 at 11:19 AM

That's one for the next series of Spooks.

Liam - 3/8/10 at 11:33 AM

What's more worrying is that Google has a mac-to-location database for Streetview in the first place (why?), not that somebody used it!

rallyingden - 3/8/10 at 11:36 AM

Oh and by the way The page you are reading about the hacking is the Booby trap page that reads your Mac address...

only kidding

Mind you, just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they are not after you

I would be very surprised if people or "Organisations" hadnt been doing this for years.....

mookaloid - 3/8/10 at 12:44 PM

it seems to say that it is firefox that is part of the problem - I'm happy because I don't use it

MikeRJ - 3/8/10 at 02:16 PM

Anyone here got an iPhone? Ever used the "Locate me" feature? How do you think this works?
