There's nothing more rewarding than..........
liam.mccaffrey - 3/8/10 at 09:28 PM

picking a lock.

Some keys went missing at work, I offered to "have a go" a few of minutes later, a couple of paperclips and voila

scootz - 3/8/10 at 09:31 PM

I would have said it was having to hang on for a squiz and then finally getting to let it go!

Now THAT'S rewarding!

But picking a lock may very well be a close second....

done it before with a bike spoke it feels good and irresponsible too. Then theres the feeling of what everyone else thinks youve done in your former life lol

I broke into my mates 106 with a coat hanger after she managed to lock her keys inside it. Her parents are still convinced I'm a car thief by night...

I broke into a Fiesta (about 17 years ago!) It was cool because they'd flagged down the police and they had a huge bag of keys and were going through them one at a time, I went into the dry cleaners they were parked outside, borrowed a hanger and was in, in a few seconds... (with the owners consent!) The copper didn't want to let me go asking loads of questions

I jemmied a front door when a friend locked the Yale with keys on the table. He was well impressed. He now has a deadlock fitted. It took all of 5 seconds.

nick205 - 3/8/10 at 10:36 PM

once hot wired an abandoned car in the work car park so i could shift it out the way. raised a few eyebrows and a few questions, but no one complained about being able to get in the car park!

Stott - 3/8/10 at 11:03 PM

I broke into a nova once with a 12" rule, I couldn't believe it myself, but played it cool naturally.

I mean how on earth did vx make it that easy?

Also reminds me of when one of the boys snapped his key in an E30 touring in a car park, he tried to start it with half the key still in the barrell and it went, then he killed it (don't know why)

At this point the half key went "ping" too far inside the barrell and he was screwed, then he set about getting the barrell off to sort the steering and hotwire it. He was hitting the barrell with a hammer with a tube over the barrell, one of the boys goes "stop touching it up and HIT it!" to which he replied with a collossal smack, shearing the whole column off its supports and landing the wheel on the drivers seat.

One of the funniest things ever, it got recovered by truck in the end

for us non-theifs, how do you go about pickng a lock?

mcerd1 - 4/8/10 at 08:04 AM

a mate of mine used to break into my cars all the time (1979 & 1997 fiesta's) move the seat, change the radio, etc...
he thought it was really funny

he just used the key from his own S reg micra - it opened loads of things

Does squiz relate to the dump, s*x life or something else?
