Breeze block dimensions
locoboy - 4/8/10 at 06:13 PM

Guys
I'm trying to work out some dimensions for a wall I am building.

I want to use hollow breeze blocks and I need to measure out a distance along my foundations to a point that will be in the void of a block!

I don't have my blocks yet and I need to set something in my foundations that will end up in the void,
So....... Does anyone know how far from the middle of the hole is from one end of the block?
Ta col

They come in lots of sizes, but I think 215*215*440 are one of the most common. Not sure if that actual or nominal though.

Don't forget the mortar width! See link above.

I just cut them to fit with the 9" grinder so the hole is where I want it

100w, 215h by 440l is more common for housing.

As mentioned, mortar will give you coursing dims will be 100w, 225h, by 450l.

this corresponds with brick dimensions of 102.5w, 65h and 215l.

But you don't get hollow 100mm blocks, surely?
