I'm feeling VERY thick!
carpmart - 6/8/10 at 07:39 PM

I've just watched the Mastermind Champion of Champions and only managed to get 9 questions correct on the General Knowledge, across all four contestants questions! Rubbish really!

I don't know how I manage to function in life knowing as little as I do!

The worst thing is that I don't know what I don't know and there may be something important I'm missing!

Don't worry, I think you'll only find it a disadvantage if you want to take part in Mastermind. They're not even typical pub quiz questions so I don't think knowing the answers would even get you any friends.

You're joking, but thats actually spot on and a very important issue!

You never know what little things you might miss or not know, that could make a huge difference to you. For instance my bad back; it might be curable with a 10 second excercise every morning, but i might go through my whole life and not discover it.

Good programme, couldn't believe the scores!

just watched it and I got 10 (our of ~140 )
a few easy(ish) ones, but the rest were solid

airport on the beach was easy (going there in a couple of weeks)
so was the orange fruit from the 'Fortunella' (named after my grt. grt. grandfather)

which ones did everone else get ?
maybe between us all we could get half of them

Give them a Sierra, some steel, a welder a roll of matting and a couple of gallons of resin and see how they get on

I don't know about Mastermind, but I knew someone who took part in the Krypton Factor many years ago and they were given subject areas to brush up on weeks before for the general knowledge round. If Mastermind is the same, you are bound to do badly compared to the contestants.

Most of it is useless s**te that you'd never need to know unless you was in a smart-alec competition like that.

You'll find out what you needed to know and didn't when they bend you over.. Some examples are:

I need to claim jobseekers WHEN I'm unemployed, not a month after. I'm also to claim everything I'm entitled to, with no way of knowing what I'm entitled to.

I'm to keep all my payslips for seven years, as it's proof I "pay" tax. I'm also to keep p45s and p60s too (although F knows where I'm going to keep them if I do get them)

Recorded delivery doesn't mean squat, it's just more expensive

Fasinating, I think I heard about him when I visited a tea plantation in India earler this year. Barry
