Smelly Cat??
liam.mccaffrey - 9/8/10 at 10:47 PM

Cat has just come in and she is stinking of eucalyptus oil. Its really bad, she must have been doused in it.

Do people use that to ward off cats or something

MakeEverything - 9/8/10 at 11:01 PM

No, a 12G works better.

liam.mccaffrey - 9/8/10 at 11:14 PM

Touch my cat and I'll break all your fingers

just like it's not funny to have them sh1t in your garden, when you can't control an animal it is not a pet but a live in guest.

A shotgun is just plain nasty A paintball gun is less messy, something like this

karlak - 10/8/10 at 08:19 AM

Bag up the crap and deliver it back to the Cat owner. Empty it on their doorstep, see how they like it ?

b16mts - 10/8/10 at 08:39 AM

We never seem to get cats in our garden.

We do have two Great Danes though.

MK9R - 10/8/10 at 08:56 AM

According to that link its very dangerous to the cat, you'd better give it a bath incase it trys to lick it off! Do the people who complain about the cat meSsing in the garden have issues with the wild animals doing the same in the garden?

scootz - 10/8/10 at 09:05 AM

It's the bears dumping in our woods that bother me!

Seriously though, it appears that Fox and Badger poo is the scent that no discerning lady-dog can be without at the moment... our girlies must have a secret stash of the stuff somewhere as they keep coming in from their daily exploits covered in it!

We get that on occasion, it appears our cat is the only one of about 25 on the estate that poos

Would you have an issue with my Dogs crapping on your lawn ?

mrwibble - 10/8/10 at 12:11 PM

err cats dig a neat little hole and crap in it before covering it over... its foxes that leave little presents on ur lawn.

karlak - 10/8/10 at 12:20 PM

OK, then I will bring a spade round and dig it in with your roses ... then we are equal

Seen this topic loads of times on loads of Forums, always ends up the same way. Many cat owners justify their Pets messing on others property as they "bury" their toxic parcels in the borders etc.. Lovely, until you come to find it while planting some plants, or better still yours kids do

My Dogs are my property and my responsibility, therfore so is the crap that they produce. I am responsible for disposing of this in a manner that does not upset or wee others off. I can accept this, I just wonder why many cat owners cant.

I know many people who own cats that will only crap in a litter tray on their own property. This is because they have been trained in a responsible way.

A non issue for me anyway as my dogs make sure the local cat population keep well away

I also cant stick Dog owners who let their dogs mess out in public areas.

You dog should be on a lead and under control, if it craps while you are out walking it, you should clean it up. Cats aren't the same, they wander around on their own. Plus cats poo in a hole.

BTW i like cats and dogs and grew up with them in the family. But now i have my own family and house i don't want a dog due to the mess, small and germs, and although i would still have a cat the wife is allergic to them so that pisses on that

55ant - 10/8/10 at 12:41 PM

its only poo.

Ben_Copeland - 10/8/10 at 12:47 PM

My cat craps in our borders but it's fine. She's a big female cat and keeps all the other cats out of our garden. So if we do come across any it's not too bad as its our cats anyway. Don't know if she does it in other garden and really don't care

She's boss around these parts lol

Yes I do but there is nothing you can do about a wild animal a pet however can be kept indoors and chained to a post in the owners garden when it needs to go outside.
responsable dog owners manage to take thier dog for a walk and clean up the poo so cat owners could do the same.

I have no problem with people have pets I personally wouldn't have one as I don't like the mess but if you so choose to have 1 control it. If you can't then don't have it.

I can't imagine many pet owners would be happy if I turn up at thier house dig a hole in their flower bed and take dump everyday would they.

Now there's a man who very clearly has no idea about cats. Come round and chain ours up to a post, I'll even give you a lift to the hospital afterwards, and your dog can hang it's head out the window looking stupid.

Ninehigh - 10/8/10 at 02:54 PM

Can't say I've ever seen anyone walking a cat...

a friend of mine used to have a harness and lead for his rabbit. saved it making a dash for the nearby fields

cat's are less controllable than dogs, granted, but if your dog came and crapped on my bonnet everyday, i still wouldn't shoot it.

YQUSTA - 10/8/10 at 04:11 PM

Your right I have no clue about cats Mike apart from the fact that the stink make a mess and I don't want their poo in MY garden. why should I have to clear up after other people's obsessions with wild beasts they can't control.

Let me put it this way if I had a child and it ate some cat poo and died would that make all the cat owners happy or would there be out rage that the cat was allowed to roam free? (forget the fact that I should be keeping an eye on the child for this question)
