Beginners skiing near Aviemore. Recommendations?
craig1410 - 2/9/10 at 10:36 PM

Hi,

My wife and I are celebrating 17 years of putting up with each other this weekend at Aviemore Highland Resort while granny and grandpa mind the kids back at home.

Last year my wife arranged for us to go to 'Go Ape' at Aberfoyle as a wee treat and this year I've been tasked with arranging something. I was thinking of some form of beginners skiing course since neither of us have ski'd before. Probably not much snow around but hopefully there will be some dry slopes we might be able to try. We're both fairly active so ideally something a bit challenging.

Any recommendations?

Feel free to suggest other activities in the area other than skiing but please, keep smutty remarks to a minimum! (yeah, I know what you were thinking...)

Cheers,
Craig.

Hi there

There is a small slope at Loch Inch Watersports and Glenmore Camp Site. There also used to be one at Lochanhully.

Worth a call first to see if they are open in the summer.

Cheers

Ian
