For all the pedal powered fans out there.
My bike currently has the 700 x 35C semi knobbly tyres that it came with, so I'm going to bin these I reckon and fit something more suited to my
use.
(Fully sealed surfaces and very light gravel. No true off road stuff at all.)
Any suggestions as to.
1) What tyre to use.
2) Pressures.
I'm 85kg, I understand that's relevant to the tyre pressure.
Depends how smooth and how little effort you want to put in;
I've run both of these to good effect before:
Michelin Country Rock which can cope with "hard pack" but not real trails.
and for town commuting I used to have
Specialized Nimbus at about 60psi which reduced rolling resistance.
Both about £10 - £15 per tyre. The nimbus will need skinnier tubes though.

If its just hard smooth stuff, roads etc then these rock continental sport
contact i have them fitted on my hardcore hardtail mtb as i use it to commute to and from work.
run them at 80psi and they are so quiet and fast and have only had 2 punctures in them in 2 years and i dont avoid the glass.
there is a little muddy track that i have to go along some times and its a little intresting but gets through.
otherwise have a look at some halo twin rails
Can't go far wrong with Conti's.
