Not exactly locost related. However, the little speed demon in all of us may find this article interesting:

Chrysler have gone into production with this hairy arsed monster. It's capable of 420mph (not a typo!) The engine is a 505 cubic inch 8277cc OHV, 20 valve, Viper V-10, liquid cooled aluminium block with cast-iron liners.

It delivers 500 bhp @ 5000rpm . 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

Oh and trying to fall inline with the Kyoto recommendations it runs on 93 octane unleaded petrol.

Just for the record it costs $550,000

I do have a larger picture if anyone wants one.

I'd want the back of the seat to be higher to stop me arse falling off the back.

Bet you'd have to put you're foot down round corners.

only suit lardy arsed yanks then that only go in straight lines.....at 55mph as they will drop all their doughnuts!!!

Wanna saucer of milk with that

the bike is sold with a disclaimer, stating that it isnt intended to be ridden and to do so is at your own risk and against the manufacturers advice! imagine the lawsuits that could stack up from a bike like this!

Slightly more practical (and designed to be ridden!) :

http://www.bosshoss.com/

They fit big block V8s (with 500hp) to huge bikes that go fast.

Designed to be ridden where? Bikes are supposed to go round corners as well as straight. If you dropped that you'd need a crane to get it back up. I saw it on Men and Motors about 3 years ago, the one they tested had a car rear tyre and very strange cornering characteristics due to the flat top and square sidewalls. The seating position was weird as well with knees about 4ft apart.

I think I'd get the trike anyway, and they are certainly not sports bikes.

well i think the key to it is they dont really have twisty roads in the US. The classic harley style motor is good for US roads, big comfy seats etc
