Started ok but fricked it up around the socket! Pulled sheet off and now anxious about starting again.
Any tips please people? Can't afford to have it done professionally so that's out!
I only have one wall to do- TV (wall mounted) fireplace, aerial and 2 x double sockets to avoid!
Someone in B&Q said it was easier than painting!?!

i always mark where the socket gos on the paper then i unscrew the socket off the wall, then make a small hole as i can then put the socket throw the
hole in the paper then cut the paper to fit .
make sure you turn the power off lol. but then when you put it back it looks like a professional job.

Glue the paper and hang it as normal from the top.
Lay the paper over the socket and score an X shape across the paper as it is sat on the socket...corner to corner
This will allow you to open the '4 flaps' and then you can push the paper around the socket.
Next just trim around the socket with a sharp scalpel or stanley knife.
Simples!!
Get a decorator to do it!!
turn the power off, then take the socket off altogether, paper straight over it to the skirting
then with siscor or very sharp stanley knife cut the hole to the inner edge of the wall box then refit the socket
This is the only way to get a perfect finish if its very visibl
if not then cutting athe crosss is next best, do it carefully and then even if you cut the cross to big as long as you dont remove more paper than
nesesary the joins will barely be visible

Paper over socket, tell wife that she cant use it again
, if she complains tell her to do the wallpapering next time
Thanks all, much appreciated!
Have just finished and quite pleased with it
Followed your advice on the sockets and removed and refitted.
Only one small flaw that annoys me, there's a small overlap of about 1.5mm between two sheets! Worth doing anything about or just ignore it?!
Too late
Glad the sockets OK though
