In league with the Devil!
Mark Allanson - 7/10/10 at 04:47 PM

After this thread, I think I must be!

I start on Monday at 9:00, the job pays 7K more than the last one, I get a 60 plate Focus diesel.

Unemployed for 4 days!

I am chuffed to say the least

Thanks to everyone for the support

Nice one! Unless working with the Devil is code for becoming a tax inspector!

Mark Allanson - 7/10/10 at 04:50 PM

No, not a tax inspector, a senior estimator with a major main dealer - falling on my feet or what!

iank - 7/10/10 at 05:31 PM

Excellent news, old place did you a favour then

Fozzie - 7/10/10 at 05:32 PM

So what are you estimating, and what does the dealer sell?

Does this mean your buying the first ten rounds of beers for all the boys an girls on locostbuilders......
well done.

Some time a job change does you more good than you first think......
Ive just changed jobs and no more on call in chavy areas at stupid oclock......fantastic

old job was making me ill.....

bonzoronnie - 7/10/10 at 06:27 PM

You'll have to trade in your 8 digit calculator for a 10 digit one though if it's a main dealer

nick205 - 7/10/10 at 07:13 PM

Great news Mark - very pleased to hear good fortune has been found.

It's often said redundancy can be a change for good, but it rarely rings true.

Make sure you give that diesel Focus what for too

Congratulations Mark hope all goes well

well done that man - hope the drive to work doesn't get too tedious.

Mark Allanson - 7/10/10 at 09:38 PM

Never as tedious as claiming job seekers allowance I hope

Bodyshop estimator, and the main dealer has franchises for Ford, Fiat, Subaru, Peugeot, Mazda, Alfa Romeo, Isuzu so I will have access to more technical info than the average bear!

Any chance of an Alfa as a work vehicle then...?

I may suggest it, or if I am given a choice....

MikeR - 8/10/10 at 11:34 AM

please please please sit in one and see how it feels using the switch gear. Love driving the g/f alfa but the window switches are in a stupid place i can't even reach without contorting. Can't see what any of the other switch gear around the wheel is so had to learn it before i drove it.
