DIY Sundial!
David Jenkins - 19/10/10 at 11:49 AM

I like sundials... little practical use, but a good thing to show kids, etc.

So I thought that this site was really clever!

It's a way of using Google to locate the wall that the sundial will go onto, sort out its orientation, then draw up a PDF to print and assemble.

Neat!

I was always tempted to make an indoor one - a fixed, point lightsource and a motorised gnomen!

What about a luminous one

My wife once asked how you tell the time on one at night!

Will have to wait until tomorrow to see if it works.

You don't, you use the moon dial.
