Dept. Transport Notification
ned - 14/6/04 at 02:13 PM

A new message has been posted to the Department of Transport
Notification in Public Authority Transport Network
-------------------------------------------------------------------

The message in discussion 'Department of Transport Notification' is as
follows:

In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous drivers, it's now compulsory for anyone with a lower than average intellect to display a warning flag, comprising of a red cross on a white background, attached to the top of at least one door of their vehicle.

For drivers of exceptionally low intellect, additional flags are required.

Hope this helps in clarifying the lastest position !!

Presumably when not in a car they should have the symbol printed on thier head.

ned - 14/6/04 at 02:28 PM

I believe body parts or clothing is acceptable.

Ned.

Mk-Ninja - 14/6/04 at 02:32 PM

Compulsory you mean.

theconrodkid - 14/6/04 at 02:48 PM

Obviously a moron in a class of his own. I like the way they are designed to fly off when the window is opened so they have to buy more.

DavidM - 14/6/04 at 10:26 PM

That's a funny post.

Has anyone else noticed that most of them seem to have disappeared today?

Why's that?

A workmate saw a similar one, from the British Armed Forces, along the lines of "valid targets for blasting off the road with as many bombs, missiles, etc as necessary". Only this time, the flag was red, white and blue - arranged in vertical bars

Letter in the Scaley Mail in the "Straight to the Point" letters - something like:

"How patriotic to see all those George Cross flags, on their foreign cars"

I thought I was the only one to see the irony in the Megane on my street flying 4 crosses.

OK I admit it, I had a flag on my car. It was promptly removed after 6th June. Commemorating a far greater effort and sacrifice made 60 years ago.

I believe that, technically, you can still be hung for treason, Ned.

Cheers

Chris

Saw one today with 18 flags on. White astra estate and he had the bonnet done as a St. George cross as well. It was in Alfreton. He was saying in the shop that it had cost him £70 to do it. I hope he's not commiting suicide tomorrow.

As with Chris's post - why are all these people trying to display patriotism on foreign cars?
