Is anyone having problems with tiscali? I haven't been able to get at my emails for over two weeks.
As you can imagine i'm getting a bit hacked off now

Can you get in to read them via webmail ?

Before they mergered both outfits had bad reputations for not resolving problems --- and from what I have heard nothing has changed since.

Two recommendation
(1) Switch your ISP to Plusnet or O2 Plusnet in particular has very good mailservers and user mail options.
(2) Get yourself a domain name (this very cheap and easy to do) this will give you proper email address based on your own choice of name that you can keep if you switch ISPs in future. The email goes to your domain name and is then redirected to you ISP email account.

The problem is with their server. I spent over an hour on the phone to be told there's nothing they can do until the change over is complete.
I will be going elsewhere i hate Talk Talk. But i need my emails

I'm with Tiscali/Talk Talk and do recall having problems with my e-mails about six months ago. It was all resolved quite easily though and I found their support were really helpful. That doesn't resolve your issues though. Have you tried accessing your e-mails through TalkTalk Webmail as Britishtrident suggested?

I always use the website for my emails.
The other month they said i was " spamming " from my computer and tried to sell me norton. They soon gave up when pointed out to them that i only use their site for emails, so maybe they should use it !!

I have a on going problem with them right now.A small minor problem, the 1571 not working...but seven days ago I was told it'll be working in 24-48hrs.You can guess the rest of the story.I was/am that hacked off with the offshore service centre I spoke to the cancelation department ref MAC code.If they can't fix 1571..well. Anyway currently £20 up and getting honest answers now.Still not fixed mind. So,get through to "leaving us." and go from there. As a footnote,I always use a non-service provider..ermm provider( Yahoo, gmail etc) so you are not comitted to your provider

I've been with Talk Talk for 13 months now and not had a single problem. No consolation to you but it's only fair to present an unbiased opinion, highly delighted and at 18.5mbps can only say they are doing nothing wrong by me.

I find the quickest way to resolve any issues is to go on their support forums and do a little bit of rib-digging.
I had speed issues for years despite countless telephone calls - 2 days on the forums and bingo!
