its due again and guess what... they want more money than last time
(I've never claimed on anything and there is nothing special about the house or contents)

obviously price is an issue, but it needs to be with someone who won't mess me about

anyone got any recomendations or ones to avoid ?

I was with Directline for ages - had a few claims (freezer contents, cracked washbasin and a £360 watch repair after my son dropped it on the floor!), paid out quickly and easily, premiums didn't shoot up.

Price on last renewal (none of the claims still counting) was a bit high, so I moved to Tesco - I'm not sure with their home insurance, but their car insurance is actually Directline anyway!

Remember to check on Quidco once you've decide who you are going with, usually worth £50 to £100 quid.

Look at the small print - some limit the cover for stuff in the garage and I guess most Locosters have more kit in there than most.
