Now this is way out there but seeing as LCB members never seem to disappoint, here is a challenge for you...
I am going to be doing a quiz night where Family Fortunes will be played. I have got the intro music with the voiceover from when Les Dennis used to
do it. I just need to change "Leeeesss Dennnnisss" to my name. Problem is I sound nothing like the voiceover guy so can't just do it
myself. Anyone got or know someone who has a similar voice to the voiceover man and could do a short snippet that I can then place over his name and
insert mine?
If anyone cant remember the voice, here it is: www.tidesignz.co.uk/intro.mp3
Alternatively, anyone got software that might be able to split the voice from the music if I give you the mp3 file?
Now lets see if you all can come through for me...

I don't think there is anyway of leaving the music in while cutting the voice out (if that's what you meant). Even quite basic software
would allow you to completely cut that section out and insert another, but of course the music would stop (norammly faded down for a voiceover). One
way of doing it would be to splce in a piece of the intro or outro, if it matched) and put that in during the voiceover section, faded down, then
record the voice over that.
Voiceovers usally have quite heavy reverb and a fair bit of EQ (especially bass), so if you were to do that it would help your voice in imitating the
original. £20 worth of software would be more than adequate.
I had a bit of a go at it.
Unfortunately, on the original clip, the eq actually changes as the track progresses.
So, it's very easy to spot the changed bit, it has a very prominent mid range compared to the original.
If I was willing to spend the rest of the day on it, I'm sure I could nail it, but.....
Here's a starting point for you at least.
Link in a minute when I get it uploaded somewhere.
If you're able to record the voice with the name, I can add that in for you.

Right here's the link.

thanks Zil for trying. And definitely would not expect you to spend all day on it.
I've got an instrumental file that may be able to be slotted in?
It is here: www.tidesignz.co.uk/instrumental.mp3
edit: actually just listened to it and the instrumental seems 'quieter' than the original so probably not.
