I've quite enjoyed their 'second-life' stuff!
... was listening to the radio and they played a trio of 'Scouting for Girls' songs. My ears were bleeding by the end due to the sheer
banality of their lame and repetitive lyrics.
It got me thinking... has there ever been a worse band (The Feeling comes pretty close!)?

Gary Barlow writes most of their songs (with some input from the other band members).

Gary Barlow also writes for dozens of other artists....er probably. I've never heard of him or any of Take That. 
This wasn't a question of who write stuff. its about the Worst bands. And IMHO, take that are shit.

he's not asking for a list of bad bands, but a list of absolute trash as bad as scouting for girls! And there arent many that poor.
I cant say i remember many names but there are some songs out atm with truely awful lyrics. I always thought id like to be in a band but dont really
have anything important to say, so never bothered. It seems some people want to do music and just sing whatever shite they can think of...

errm, i went to watch 3 blokes in their 50's play a medly of rock hits from the 70's last night, deep purple, cream, hendrix and Thin Lizy
etc. Each one has been playing for 30+ years and were excellent .... (poor attempt to gain some credibility)

Everyones taste in music is different, a crap band to someone will be the best band to others.
I personally think U2 are pretty crap (average) but its obvious that there are lots of peolpe who think they are the mutts nuts.
