Anyone planning on traveling past Newton Aycliffe, up the A1 and on towards Edinburgh in the next few days?

Cheers

Scotty

I am one mile from Newton Aycliffe, but wont be heading too far North anytime soon. However if you want a hand to get something collected and then sent on to you, I am more than willing to help.

Cheers Slingshot... I have a bike engine to collect from there, but the snow has completely screwed my plans!

Thursday will be my last chance to get down for it before I head off to Gothenburg for a week and I don't want to keep the guy hanging on that long.

Not sure if you would have the space in a vehicle to move a bike engine (or indeed if you would want to move something that heavy - 70kg) and hang onto it for a week or so till I get there?

Feel free to pass... it's hardly a featherweight!

I use an Escort van for my buisiness and am sure I can find a space to store a bike engine for a week or two. If not my brothers workshop is only 2 miles further away and I am sure he could loose it among the dead Land-Rovers for me. Let me know, am willing to help.
Will u2u my numbers.

You're a star... thanks very much for the offer!

I'm just heading out for the evening, but will give you a buzz tomorrow!

Thanks again!

scott,

I can help you out, aycliffe is only 40 min from mine.
Could bring it up in january when up for the autosport show?

slingshot2000 - 7/12/10 at 10:46 PM

I almost suggested trying a 'pony express' idea involving locosters along the A1, but as I hadnt had any contact with T66 wasnt sure if it was ok to do this, so I didnt!
I am willing to help in any way I can, maybe I could move it to Morpeth and T66 could move it further north.Or I could collect it and T66 could pick it up from me at his leisure?
What ever, I am willing to help, especially as it is so close to me and I drop off/pick up Joshua at school in Newton Aycliffe each day.
Let me know if you still want help.
Regards
Jon
