got a call from my dad earlier
luckly for me the dax was a little further along and has now been evacuated

Hope you are able to fix it up or something!
Buggeration!
Kin hell mate, thats rubbish, hope he gets it rebuilt soon.
Rich
bring it to me and i will build it for you
Yep i was almost caught out.....and that garage in dundee had thiers go in.
its a problem that i have never seen before........
sorry to see its happened to you guys
well I've not lost my bit of the shed yet, but its not looking good for the rest of the roof - there are big cracks in some of the beams and ones split completly
we can look out for reclaimed sheets
there is no hope for the roof, its asbestos so if he does anything it'll all get done (5m x 45m
)
and thats only if the wall is worth saving.....

Yes indeed.
And at times like this, the loss adjusters will barely have time to wipe there noses far less get picky with claims.
Provided you're not outrages, they'll play fair.
P.S. Regarding the asbestos, we all know that has to be done properly by a licenced contractor.
Just a few miles from me a full field of green houses collapsed with the weight off snow

No it doesn't (not round here anyway).
Double wrap in polythene & into the closed skip marked 'asbestos' at the tip/recycling centre.
Take the obvious precautions about not cutting/breaking/drilling it & breathing the dust.
Have lived with AC from when I was a nipper as dad worked for Everite and Turner in Southern Africa.
We installed roof sheets, plant pots, rainwater goods, window sills , as well as wall claddings ect in many places..
A seven owner we know has showed us how to remove the stuff as he does it for a job.....full ppe, low pressure cloaking and full wet down.
Spray all the AC with a thick viscous soap fluid before breaking up and placing in sealed and marked bags....
don't worry about the asbestos - its only some cement roof sheets (of some 80 year vintage) this shed is a small part of what there used to be
he's talking about re-roofing the back bit that I was using - but in steel with a steel frame to hold it
