Loads of finance jobs going at the moment - this is a good sign. Finance are the first to cut back and as they're run 'on the bone' means if they're hiring the rest of the business must be picking up.

Means i've got to pull my finger out now and get a job in IT / project management

Does being Santa at the shopping centre pay well

I was looking recently as things were a bit dodgy where I'm working (but ok for the moment). It seems that things have picked up in my field (industrial automation) quite a bit in the last 6 months. Rates are a bit lower than they were 18 months ago (say 10%), but work is definately there again. 12 months ago there was nothing anywhere.

I'm with MikeR.
Still trying to get any Proj Manage roles and i've got years of experience.
Only the banks/finance folk really hiring. Rest are putting on for show
still, got a plan B and plan C in mind.

Im always busy at this time of year
