I've got an nokia N86 at the moment and its been great right up till now....
the connector for the charger / data is broken, took it to orange, they say its too old (14 months now) but its still under contract till october 2011
(I don't have there stupidly expencive insurance)
so took it to the carphone warehouse (offical nokia repair round here) - he's had a go at re-soldering it but says the pads have lifted off the
motherboard so its unrepairable
anyone got any ideas ??
Tell them your off unless you get a replacement Phone
wickedgadget.co.uk
Sale of Goods act, it really should last the length of the contract.
Also the Nokia warranty is 15 months
^^ they say its damage - so not covered by the warranty
They said that to me, and I was insistent that I never so much as dropped it onto the table..
Then again you can get a cheap one for £15...
their way around it is that the Phone is free your paying for the contract so the sale of goods act doesnt apply
i thought nokias has a 24month warranty. i got my e71 repaired and it was a month before its 2nd birthday. dont bother with your phone provider just take it to carphone warehouse as they are nokias authorised repair centre. they will take it fix it and bill nokia.
^^ that was the plan
but first off they say its damaged so not a warranty
and then they say they can't fix it because the motherboard is damaged
