On the basis that if it sounds too good to be true then it it's a scam I would expect this to be a scam, but can't quite see how?

Does anyone know anything about it or the so called education organisation behind it???

I dont think it is a scam. I heard about this (or something similar) about a year ago on Jeremy Vine.

Maybe not a 'scam' as such, but its certainly harvesting your details.

If I ask everyone on here for their email address its not a scam.
But if you all then get inundated with viagra adverts, then you know where they came from.

And this is targetted at school aged children. This 'company' has very low morals if this is indeed their plan.

I cant say if that one is a scam, but my Daughter applied and got for my Grandson a very nice laptop, as she is on family credit, (single parent)

I dont agree with all the stuff she can get, but at least i dont have to fund any of it, unlike her Brother (stepson) who works, yet had to borrow £200 of me before xmas, that i doubt i will ever see again !

There have been all sorts of scams on Farcebook regarding free iPhone4's, iPods etc.

It would appear it is a scam, having got sufficient clicks to make her application, when you try to apply it asks you to complete an "eligibility survey" the 2 she was offered were about buying toys for Xmas, or Gucci - so it would appear it is a method of getting youngsters to complete a survey - I have a funny feeling that having done the survey you could wait an awful long time for your laptop to arrive!!

Suggest you all advise any youngsters you know about this - might save a lot of wasted time filling out surveys for free!

And here in lies another problem with that hated Facebook.
Hit the link and there are '64063 likes' because people are like sheep and instantly hit 'I like this' as they think they will get a free laptop. Then more people follow the link as there are 64063 people who 'like' this, so they seem to have given it some sort of backing.
If facebook was any good (which it isn't) then there would be a 'I don't like this' button.

Infact if I set up a facebook account and started a group called I hate facebook and its stupid ways I bet people would still click they like it as its now just an instant reaction.
