Civic Amenities

This week I've learned to appreciate those stinking bank holiday institutions that are the local tip. I was working at a local civic amenities site, putting up some signs, and managed to come across 1 No. Snapon Tool Chest, 1 No. Suregas bottle (for the MIG) and 1 No. sturdy steel work bench (on castors). To finish it off, I was on the way to my lock-up with my swag when Fred, the gentleman who lives next door to my parents, added 2 No. axel stands and 2 No. ramps to the booty. What a cracking day.

Now thinking of arranging coach parties at the weekends.

Incidentally, I'm yet to find someone that'll fill my gas bottle. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than swapping it with my local landlord? I generally tend to use a high argon mixture.

A friendly landlord is usually a good source, alternatively find your local BOC centre.

Got a working Dyson vacuum cleaner from the tip about 3 years ago - and it still works, outliving the one I got it as spares for!

Well, I work nextdoor to my local BOC agent and they weren't too enthusiastic. They send their empty bottles back to a depot to be filled and said that their depot wouldn't fill a bottle that they didn't own... Bummer

Got to be the landlord then!
