Anyone live in or around Bude?

I'm looking to have a weekend in Bude next month.

Can anyone confirm that the Castle Restaurant is A1-ok?

GF's 30th so need a peachy and posh place to eat.

yeah its not bad, was doing some good deals on roast dinners etc

not exactly my idea of a posh restaurant, but its clean tidy, the food is good (that I have tried)

No, quite - but www searches haven't really provided anything that is proper fine dining.

been trying to think of places to suggest, and to be honest Im struggling, lots of cafes, and pubs that do food.

I regularly blast down to Bude, only 20 minutes away, great place to go for a walk along the canal etc, and the ride there and back is good fun, although the road is currently attrocious, and if the mist is down, then visibility is about 20 yards LOL
