I rang Sky tv on Monday night to see if i could get a Sky + box for free [Sky man we don't do sky + boxes now only sky + HD
ME can i have one but with out HD [ yes but i can't do it you will have to ring this number ########## ok says ME

New Sky man looks on his computer screen [ First sky man has ordered you one HE can't of he told he to ring you . just a minute comes back to the phone i have asked him [ first man ] to ring you back

I agree, was with sky for a similar amount of time, now on virgin, sky customer service was poor whenever I rang, in fact I get more calls now from sky asking me to come back than I ever got returned calls!

Have you registered on their website? If so, you can do the upgrade process from there.....

You should consider yourself lucky.
I binned Sky because I could never get anyone to answer my calls inless that half an hour.

If you can get to the dish change the LNB for a dual or quad one then run an extra cable to the sky box, then pick up a sky+ box on eBay for peanuts, then register the box with sky to your card.

Or pick up a sky.+hd box for a bit more and get the free hd channels.

This way your not tied into a contract with sky.

I got a sky plus box you can have, £40 posted.

This is pretty much the same reasons we're with Virgin now, we got a new telly and asked what HD channels they had. They wanted £80 for a new box, when we'd had our own for so many years I found one in the garage that doesn't have the plus bit with it!

Go FreeSat - it's FREE for ever, and if you've got a dish up already it's just a case of swapping the box with a nice Humax PVR box.

If not, I've got an old Sky+ box with a larger HDD installed you can have ......
