Looking for trailer to carry my MK Indy, seen a couple of single axle ones on e-bay, the question is are they OK with regards to load wieghts, what is the law on this does anybody know,?
A better question is - is it braked.
Single axle will be fine - but anything over 750kgs needs to be braked, and I'd guess a trailer plus your kit is going to be over that.

next you need to know if it has a weight plate on it, and what. Failing a plate, you just need the axle weight. Not sure where you stand legally on a trailer with no weight plate, non of my 3 have them. You want about 1 tonne, though some becs on light trailers might be under 750kgs.
Joe if you are using the trailers with the axles I sold you the weights are on a plate on the axles.

For unbraked trailers, you can tow up to 750kg (combine weight of trailer and what you are carrying), but this needs to be no more than half of the kerb weight of the towing vehicle. Whichever of these figures is the lowest is the recommended route to take. For braked trailers (especially large ones), they should be 85% of your car's kerb weight or less.
