What is considered high mileage for a bike enging

As title really

What is considered high miles for a motorbike engine both 600 and 1000 cc

I am just interested as there is a stigma with cars that have done over 100,000 miles and wondered if bikes have the same.

but it all depends on the type engine

I had 26,000 on my old CBR600 before I sold it, I also knew of other Honda's with 30k+

But, I only bought mine as I got it (very) cheap, but if I was buying a bike again I wouldn't buy anything with over 10k

ETA: I think 20k on bikes is similar to 100k on cars

Tend to disagree with 30K plus being a problem, if the engine has a genuine full service history there is no reason to see much higher miles without issue.
I have just sold a GSXR750 with knocking on the door of 40k on the clock and it still felt very strong in the midrange and top end and that was a 1994 model.
Its mostly down to how well they have been looked after and more so or not how many owners the bike will have had.

As above. I once had a track sp1 with 54k on the clock when I got it. It felt as strong as any other sp1 i've had. A lot of bikes make more bhp when they've done a few miles.

It depends on the condition of the rest of the bike, what its been used for etc. A bike thats a few years old with <5k on it has more than likely done harder work but less miles.

As above, I've had higher mileage bikes with tight engines still. My last ZXR750 was 40,000 + and went like when it was new!

My ZZR600 has 58k miles and is showing no ill effects. Doesn't use a drop
of oil or rattle at all. Gets ridden hard too.

Sold my 'busa with about 35k on the clock and there was nowt wrong with that. A friend sold his GSXR1100H with approx 147,000 miles on it and that was fine. His 'blade had about 70k miles when he sold it. Another fiend sold his ZZR1100 with similar mileage.

Lots of early blades do 100k+, and still going strong, but that is exceptional. Most bikes don't last as long as thier motors due to crashes etc. Thats why you dont see many high mileage ones - but that isn;t down to anything to do with the engine.

I welded some luggage hangers on a 600 Divvy for a mate to go to France on it. He bought it for £200 and while he was away it went over the 80,000 mile mark and still running when he got back he sold it for £450. Another friend of mine goes to lots of rallies on his NTV 650 with over 70,000 on the clock and his last bike was a Kawasaki Zephyr 500 which he scrapped with over 100,000 on it most of which he had done before the frame gave out.
