Hedra number wall

Im not sure where to start with this question, other than i thought i was competent at maths until i tried to help my 8 year old with this puzzler at the weekend!

She has a homework sheet called "3D Hedra number wall". There is a shape to cut out, at the top of each shape is a triangle and she has to enter "12" in the top. There are other boxes where she has to enter other numbers that make up 12. in the corners she has to make sure the same number doesnt appear twice.

ive tried searching online but cant find anything about Hedra Walls. I dont recall ever doing anything in maths about them when i was at school. Can anyone help? (PS - i cant supply any more info as there was very limited data on the sheet).

Cheers.

you have to scan the worksheet.

can you scan the page in, and post it?

Sorry unfortunately not. I work away so dont have it handy (or access to a scanner). If someone can point me in the direction of some class notes or online website about them ill try and teach myself. She is doing year 4 maths. There have been a few times where she has brought homework home and the instructions are very vague.

If you don't get 1,000,000,000 hits on google, then the thing obviously doesn't exist !

You sure you got the name right, or the teacher didn't just make it up?

Your explanation is not wonderful..

Can you not sketch it for us in paint or something?!

Don't worry about it, its HER homework, not yours - you'll never finish building your business empire if you spend all your time doin' your kids homework!
