My girlfriends car (Daewoo Matiz) is having some serious gearbox / clutch problems. Before i ring my local garage can anyone here help me out with a bit of remote diagnosis???

Firstly it was difficult to get into third, then it would only go into first and second. Now it's stuck in first. Clutch still operates though?

I've had a look at it but it is a cable operated system and nothing looks loose or to have come off, either at the gearbox end or the lever.

Am i looking at a new gearbox???

Any advice gratefully recieved.

have a look at the linkage first,could be summat simple on that
