I'm thinking about changing the R1, and fancy something totally different.
Looking at the TL1000R, the faired one with tele rear shock, not the rotary shock TL1000S.
Does anyone have any experience of the TL, I've had ducati twins in the past but not any of the Japanese twins.
Ow these bikes are mad fast.
didnt they call them the widowmaker.
paul my motorbike welder mate had one.
his throttle stuck while overtaking and he hit the back of a nissan nivara and wrote it off lol
ohh and damaged himself badly but his is ok now.
he said it was the best bike he had every had. now he got the gpz900r cos its a little less heavy and mad....
I had one and loved it! Heavy and bulky thing, but the engine is bomb-proof, it goes like stink and sounds
It was the half-faired TL1000S that was dubbed the widow-maker. The R had a revised rear suspension which made it slightly less of a bumpy ride!
I had one for 3 years great bike they dont like to lay down in the bends you find youself hanging of the thing to corner and it dont like to change
direction very fast tight lanes are the worst, long sweeping bends it loves.
watch out for a slipping clutch common fault with these bikes, lose the rear foot pegs and put stubby cans on it and have run.

Oh eck, if they don't lay down and change direction quickly, I'm going to have to re consider, I do love the sound and looks, but the twisties are my playground.....
you want a sp1, not a firestorm but a sp1

One came past me a while ago at warp factor 10, I'm pretty sure there was a tsunami alert issued as the noise and earth shaking was AWESOME!
What about a Mille R, they make the right noise and go round bends ok?
