Help Wanted;- Does anyone have a spare boiler timer, or even the little bits that flick the switch on and off?

Hi All,

I have a small problem, over the years I've lost the little and red and blue "posts" that flick the timer from On to Off and obviously back again as the timer ticks round.

Does anyone have a spare 2 (or if I'm really lucky, 4) of them to replae the ones I've lost?

I've tried searching stores for them, but plaes like B&Q, Focus etc seem to be staffed with people that are getting intrinsicly more and more stupid each day they work there...

Having said that, I've been unable to find replacements on ebay, so maybe I'm the stupid one.

B&Q do a replacement Timer for £66, but I don't have that sort of money. We've been turning it on when we need hot water, which is to do the dishes, a bath for the baby, and a bath for the wife. It obviously gets left on by mistake, so we're heating water when not needed and so wasting money...

Ideally, I'd like to replace only the little tab's as I am not the best with electrics, so would like to try and avoid having to rewire a new timer...

Please see Pic below (sorry for it being dark, my phone doesn't have a flash, and it's in the airing cupboard)

I know there's a lot of handy people on here, including a few plumbers etc, so all advice is welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Can you not replace it with a 20 quid digital timer from screwfix?
