Palo Alto network firewalls

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

Starting my new job on Wed and foolishly just mailed them asking what time they wanted me in and was there anything I could read up on in advance.

The upshot is I have to go to my boss' house ( ) for 5.30am and go with my boss to Nottingham (150miles) to install a piece of this kit. Firstly, 300miles is a long time to spend sitting next to someone you dont know at all and secondly, I know nothing at all about this bit of kit!!! Ok, I'm shadowing him so he should be the one showing me, but if I had some idea, other than what's on their website, http://www.paloaltonetworks.com/technology/platform.html that would be good.

Cheers,
James

The marketing department is better than the underlying technical aspects. It is a Next Gen Firewall which is big on application control but poor on the basics. It only does app control on 6 protocols and gives up if the file size is too big....and it is twice the price and half as good as the equivalent SonicWALL.

Apart from that it is fine.....
