I have a basic triton electric shower probably 4 years old.
It started cutting out mid shower after about 4 minutes.
Turn off leave for a few hours it would then work again.
Over xmas it seemed to work ok again, then this morning it did nothing, power light was on and I think the low pressure warning wasn't lit up.
Are there any common probs i've read about a thermal cut out or lower pressure, blocked in line filter or shower head blocked, so I'll try
those tonight.
Anything else.
If it still doesn' work anyone know of any bargain in the sale at the mo under £50.

Are you in a hard water area? Mine got clogged up with limescale. Dismantled it, removed the element, descaled it and worked good as new.
Check the solenoid valve (if it has one), notorious for failures in the Triton, replaced mine few weeks ago, £10 off ebay, coil resitance should be about 5k ohms.
how do you check the solenoid valve, sorry not to good with electric things, I have a basic multimeter?
I bought but not used cant remember the make now.Would have to check late. Its white. let me know if you do not get sorted.
if you are in a limescale area and feed from a water tank in the loft i would fit a descaling thing you can buy from screwfix in the pipe to the cold
water tank. maybe clean the tank out too....
my money is on the solenoid valve.
given the triton showers are very popular cant you buy the same one off ebay or somewhere and then fit that inplace. shouldnt need and movement of
pipes etc....
Pull the wires off and use multimeter to measure, the solenoid valve will be on the output pipe if you have one. looks like a plastic bobbin
Dont forget to turn power off first
We used to have electric showers at my last RAF base and they'd forever stop working. It was a filter inside the case that would get gunged up. 5 minutes of a job and sorted.
