ok this forum has never let me down yet

so here we go.

stupidly last week in Amsterdam i managed to lose my charger for my canon 600d.

i want to buy a new on but i want a genuine canon one. there are a couple going cheap on the bay but im not sure if the are 100% genuine canon or just a good copy.

would anyone with a 550d or 600d be kind enough to take a good picture of their charger front and back so i have something to compare with.

either post it up here or if you dont know how i can give you my email address via pm.

have you looked on the cannon site

yes but they dont have one of the back of the charger so i can compare the writing. the ones on the bay suspiciously have quite a bit of Chinese writing on them as well as english.

I guarantee that unless there is a picture of the packaging, or the devive with the Canon logo, then they are a cheap chinese copy.

Ash. have you tried ringing the places you stayed / visited ? My Genuine Canon 450D charger has Canon inc made in china on the back, and quite a lot Chinese writing on the back.

Yeah I called the hotel no sign of it. Think I am going to have to bite the bullet and pay full price. Myke I think the 450 one is different but it may help. The ones on eBay don't seem to have a ce mark on them.
