ReMan - 25/8/12 at 12:14 PM

Just listing an item on ebay, anbd wrapped I reckon it will be under 2KG
Royal mail price finder id giving me the cheapest oftion of £9.25 for a sigtned for shipment !!! FFS
The item is probably going to sell for £10

What are my (easy) options, this is the size of a shoe box?

Just sent a 5K parcel through Parcels2go, (actually Hermes), for 4.99 + Vat. I find them the best for collection and delivery on time. HTH Ray

Thanks.
i'v just looked these up and at the Hermes link.
Is it odd that the collect and deliver is cheaper than the drop off point to destination though?

Just avoid Yodel like the plague. They recently got 3 out of 4 deliveries wrong for me, never again. DHL cocked up a couple of times too (via parcel2go)

Had excellent service from UPS via interparcel, not the absolute cheapest, but 100% on service.

Not tried parcelmonkey (citylink I believe) but I am tempted, seem to have good reviews

In terms of dealing with problems, P2G were hopeless and totally unhelpful. Yodel cockup was booked via interparcel, and they admitted yodel were hopeless in not so many words. After a bit of faffing. they are sorting a refund/compensation, and keeping me updated as promised. All looking good so far, which is when a company shows how good it actually is.

I tend to use Myhermes as you can transfer all the details from eBay and they are pretty cheap for smallish, lightish stuff. And they collect!
