I can't smash the telly because I use it to watch dvds. It gets used less and less for tv programmes. We don't watch soaps or 'reality tv', the occasional wildlife programme and a couple of films is about all. If you could block the BBC and get out of paying the licence fee it would be out of business tomorrow.
I wonder if this a growing trend.
I have been off work for six months, in that time I don't think I've switched the TV on once. (other to catch morning news)
Occasional DVD in the evening, but thats it.
I could gladly live without it and just invest in a big TFT monitor to watch a film on. Soaps bore the sh!t out of me and as for reality
