you sure about the no mot thing?

where did you get the info from?

you might find it difficult to explain to plod and the local police station why your old registration car doesnt have an mot cert even if it is so....

No that is right Steve! Age related doesn't need an MOT for 3 years. If plod stopped you, a PNC check will confirm when the car was first registered in Locost guise. Also when Tax time comes, the dvla will put required documents needed (at the bottom of the renewal form).
MOT wont be one of them.

Got the MOT info from the SVA centre at exeter he told me that even though it has an old reg the car is still new as such. and on my reg form it says year of manifacture as 2004 therfore got age related plate due to donor car but new when regestered.
ask any private plate owner if they have problems?

the web site for tax is
www.dvla.gov.uk/vehiclelicence
but you need a ref no from your v11 they send you

I just tried and it said I need the new type MoT cert for it to work. I just got my MoT done but it's a hand written VOSA certificate so looks like I'll have to visit a post office :/
